June 27: 1/2 chicken, 1/2 steak, extra rice, hot salsa (College Boulevard, Overland Park, Kansas)
it's pouring down rain today and i'm stuck at the office, preparing for trial. it's my first jury trial. i'm excited and scared -- exhilarated and terrified at the same time.
in the meantime, i decided a burrito would be a good idea today. i'm playing soccer later (indoor, thankfully) and figured i had better eat earlier rather than later.
someone asked me recently whether i would ever eat a burrito again after this year. the answer is yes, yes, a thousand times yes. i love this stuff. how could i leave it?

'twas the Ides of June and, in honor of Jerrod W.'s new baby, we (Jerrod, me, Toby C., Dave R.) celebrated with a burrito. no fax order this time -- just stood in line at 11:30 a.m. thankfully, the line moved quickly.
my rice was superb today -- very impressed. as is my wont, i used the chips -- which were very salty today! -- as a delivery device for the hot salsa and just snarfed down the juicy burrito. probably a top 20 burrito of all time.

Katy M., Toby C., Dave R., Heidi S., and Chelsi H. accompanied me (or did i accompany them?) to Chipotle today. that's where it hit me: i've eaten 76 burritos since January 1. and i ain't talkin' about no cruddy little Taco Bell burritos. i mean big, fat, juicy, spicy, quality Chipotle burritos.
that's a lot of food.
in fact, last night i was discussing this with a couple of people who were astounded that i was able to eat two of these things in one sitting. (Heidi burst my bubble about "carb loading" for my soccer games, so i had to admit i just liked 'em too much.)
one amusing anecdote from today's fax order: the Artistic Manager wrote "A Perfect Burrito" on mine. i agree wholeheartedly.

excellent burrito today. unfortunately, there were some mixups with the fax order, although we eventually got it all figured out. the chicken and rice were both pretty juicy today, and i was pleased with the mixing of the hot salsa. added a little salt, which has recently become my wont, and the burrito was spectacular.
we didn't get any chips today. that left me without a delivery device for the hot salsa; but it was a change of pace, i suppose.

today's burritos were awesome. each one had a heaping, steaming pile of rice and some of the juiciest chicken i've ever had. the salsa mixed around so well that even now, very full, my mouth is watering just thinking about these burritos.
i am now, however, very full. taking the final few bites was almost impossible; i'm stuffed!
